Choosing between Basic, Comfort and Comfort plus

A line-by-line reading of the guarantee matrix to avoid nasty surprises.

Short answerBasic covers six guarantees without fire or theft. Comfort adds fire, theft, broken glass and collision. Comfort plus adds third-party property. No formula has a public price.

Key facts

  • 01Basic: 6 guarantees included
  • 02Comfort: 10 guarantees (no third-party property)
  • 03Comfort plus: the source matrix does not show “Collision damage”
  • 04The three prices are calculated on request

01

Reading the matrix

The car page shows eleven guarantee rows and three formula columns. A tick means inclusion, a cross absence. Comfort plus shows only ten rows in the source: collision damage is not listed there.

02

Which profile to choose?

Basic suits an everyday vehicle when you accept repairing damage to your own car yourself. Comfort secures theft and glass breakage in the city. Comfort plus also protects damage to third parties beyond simple liability — useful for a valuable vehicle.

03

Getting the real price

None of the three tariffs is published. Fill in the car form (insured, vehicle, formula): an adviser sends a personal study. The quote is indicative.

Frequently asked questions

Three formulas: Basic (civil liability, catastrophic event, defence and recourse, passengers carried, driver protection, assistance), Comfort (those six plus fire, theft, broken glass and collision damage) and Comfort plus (all of the above plus third-party property).

No. In the displayed matrix, Basic only ticks six guarantees: fire, theft, broken glass, collision damage and third-party property are not included. The Comfort (or Comfort plus) formula is required for them.

No car-insurance price is published: the three formulas (Basic, Comfort, Comfort plus) show an empty price field, filled when the request is made. The tariff is quote-only: fill in the car form and an adviser sends a personal study.
